A driver had a lucky escape on the mid north coast late today, after his truck
burst into flames on the Pacific Highway near Woolgoolga at around 4pm.
The man managed to jump clear, then disconnect the cabin from the trailer, which was laden with fruit and vegetables.
Southbound traffic on the highway was disrupted for well over an hour.
It’s thought a brake fault may have sparked the blaze.
