Charlton MP Pat Conroy will nominate for the seat of Shortland, in ALP pre-selection, ending weeks of speculation.
It follows news that long-standing member for Shortland, Jill Hall, will retire at the next election.
The reshuffle means Labor-frontbencher, Joel Fitzgibbon, will be free to nominate for the seat of Hunter, with new electoral boundary changes effectively abolishing his current seat.
