Tamworth gymnast Julia Hannaford did her chances of New South Wales selection no harm in Sydney this weekend.
Competing at the State Qualifiers, the McCarthy Catholic College student finished second on beam, and fifth overall in level 10.
Selectors will take the top six to May’s National Championships in Melbourne.
Fellow local Georgia Pryer pressed her claim among the level eight’s, ranked 14th overall, which puts her in contention for the Border Challenge in June.
Caitlin Ham also finished in the top 10 for her age division.
The trio will compete again on April 16 and 17.
