FLIGHTS CANCELLED AFTER PARTIAL ROOF COLLAPSE AT NEWCASTLE AIRPORT

Some flights in and out of Newcastle Airport have been cancelled after a partial collapse of the roof in the check-in area.

The collapse was caused by a deluge of rain around 1.00pm.

Travellers are now being advised to contact their airline for flight updates. Newcastle Airport has advised that Fly Pelican will operate flights from Newcastle Airport this afternoon as scheduled.

There have been no reports of injuries.
