NEW CONCEPTS FOR SCONE BYPASS AFTER COMMUNITY FEEDBACK

Upper Hunter Shire Council would like to see more changes to the state government’s latest plans for the Scone bypass and rail overpass.

Released over the weekend, the three new concepts follow feedback provided by close to 200 people during a two-month consultation period.

While Mayor Wayne Bedgood says the new plans DO include many improvements, the council is still concerned about the northern end of the bypass.

He says no solution has been found to Scone being divided by the rail line… while emergency vehicle access also remains an issue.
