Tamworth Regional Council has given the green light to two sustainable initiatives across the region.
The final stages of the Landfill Gas Capture project can now begin, with council seeking a contractor to build and operate the project.
Construction is expected to commence before the end of the year, with the facility up and running by May 20-17.
The proposed organic waste facility will also move to the next stage, with council agreeing to adopt an operational model for the project.
