MAN ACCUSED OF WEAPON AND DRUG POSSESSION WHILE IN CAR WITH KIDS
A 42-year-old man has allegedly been found in the possession of drugs and weapons, during a Tweed Heads vehicle stop with his two daughters in the car.
Police stopped the grey Jeep on Wharf Street at about 3.40pm, and spoke to the man.
During a search of the vehicle police allegedly found knuckle dusters, a razor knife, Diazepam, MDMA, Xanax, cannabis, Ice, scales, and a number of items believed to have been stolen.
All items were seized for forensic examination and the man was arrested and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station.
The accused has been charged with a number of offences including possessing a prohibited weapon, four counts of drug possession and one count of drug supply.
