TEENAGERS SOUGHT OVER ATTEMPTED GOLD COAST ROBBERIES

Police would like to speak to two teenagers they believe were involved in a pair of failed armed robberies on the Gold Coast.

Around 8:45pm last night, two women were walking over the Chevron Island Bridge on Chevron Island, when they were approached by a male teenager.

The teenager, who was carrying a knife, demanded cash.

The women, both aged 24, turned and ran back over the bridge. No money was stolen and the women were not injured.

About 5 minutes later a male teen, carrying a knife, entered a restaurant on Thomas Drive in Chevron Island.

He approached the counter and demanded cash.

Staff refused, and he turned and left the store. No money was stolen and no one was injured.

In both instances, a teenage girl was seen nearby during the attempted robberies.

The teenage male is described as 178cms tall with curly blonde hair and was wearing a cap and a grey jacket.

The teenage girl is described as 160cms tall with olive skin and long straight black hair.
