A man in his 50’s has allegedly approached a seven-year-old boy south of Newcastle.
Around 2pm yesterday, police say the boy was standing outside a toilet block at Redhead Beach, when the 56-year-old man asked the boy to go into the toilets with him.
The man fled the scene after the boy’s mother confronted him.
Shortly after, police found the man at the northern end of the beach where he was allegedly committing an indecent act.
He was charged with a number of offences including wilful and obscene exposure in public, and will appear in court in May.
