A fire has caused extensive damage to a house in Newcastle overnight.
Police say the blaze broke out at a home on Tighe Street in Waratah, just before 7pm.
No one was at home at the time, and fire crews extinguished the fire but the building suffered significant structural damage.
Investigations suggest the fire began with an electric clothes dryer on the back deck of the premises.
Our house recently burned down by a clothes dryer as well. It is the most devastating thing to go through and we feel for all those involved.
If possible could we please get the brand and model of dryer?
If it is the same dryer we need to discuss this further.
