A hip injury has forced Knights forward Anthony Tupou into retirement.
Tupou made his NRL debut in 2004 for Sydney, playing 111 games for the Rosters before joining the Cronulla Sharks in 2009, where he went on to play another 125 NRL games.
The Newcastle junior then played one season in the English Super League, before first hitting the field for the Knights in round five this season.
Tupou played four games for Newcastle before a hip injury sustained in round 10 sidelined him indefinitely.
Career highlights for the 34-year-old include 11 tests for Australia, a test match for Tonga, and four Origin matches for NSW.
The Club will farewell Tupou and other departing players with an on-field presentation following Sunday’s Old Boys Day match at McDonald Jones Stadium.
