TRIO CHARGED OVER SEXUAL ASSAULT OF 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL
Three people will face court following the alleged sexual assault of a girl in the Lake Macquarie area over the weekend.
Police were told that a 14-year-girl was sexually assaulted after leaving a party at Bolton Point at around 11pm on Saturday.
The girl was taken to John Hunter Hospital for medical examinations.
Following inquiries, two 18-year-old men were arrested about 5pm on Sunday.
Both were charged with aggravated sexual assault in company, and will appear in Newcastle Local Court tomorrow.
Then about 10.30am yesterday, a 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault in company.
He will appear at a children’s court in December.
Police are urging anyone who was in the Bolton Point area on Saturday evening – and has not yet spoken to police – to come forward.
