The Queen’s Baton is slowly nearing its Gold Coast destination, today travelling through the streets of Armidale.
18 locals carried the baton through town for the local leg of the relay – among them martial arts expert and world record holder Anthony Kelly.
Passing through hands, young and old, to reach Dumaresq Park – welcomed by a sea of school children eager to see the Queen’s Baton.
It will arrive on the Gold Coast in early April.
