TAMWORTH GOES TEAL FOR OVARIAN CANCER
While red and pink have been the colours of the day, local police, firefighters and council workers donned the colour teal to raise awareness of ovarian cancer.
Tamworth local Katherine Kerr was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 20-14 – she’s backing a local push to wear teal ribbons during February.
“It is a cancer where a lot of people what the signs and symptoms are. There is no early detection test for it. So the only way for it to be detected is for the signs and symptoms.”
