LEADERS ROUND CAPE HORN AS VOLVO OCEAN RACE CONTINUES

After one of the most relentless Southern Ocean legs in the history of the Volvo Ocean Race, the leaders have now passed Cape Horn, in southern Chile.
Team Brunel, with Lake Macquarie sailor Kyle Langford onboard, was to first to round the cape… pushing the yacht further ahead on the leaderboard.
There were no celebrations though, with the fleet still reeling from the loss of Adelaide sailor John Fisher, who fell overboard last week.
The already-exhausted crews are now being tested even further – buffeted by strong winds in the South Atlantic.
