The region’s farmers could see some relief from the drought, with the announcement the Farm Household Allowance is being reviewed.
Under current measures, farmers can only receive drought assistance over a four-year period, but that could be adjusted.
It comes a day before the state government is expected to make an announcement on drought assistance.
