TEENAGER VICTIM OF BLOW DART ATTACK AT CESSNOCK

UPDATE:

A teenage boy has been charged over a blow dart attack on a 15-year-old girl at Cessnock in the Hunter Valley.

The 17-year-old attended Cessnock Police Station on Sunday afternoon, where he was charged with reckless wounding as well as possessing or use of a prohibited weapon.

It’s alleged the teen fired the makeshift blow dart at a group of girls, from a passing car on Wollombi Road at around 7 o’clock on Saturday evening, striking a 15-year-old.

He was granted conditional bail, and will face a Children’s Court in December.

The girl underwent surgery to remove the projectile from her cheek.

YESTERDAY

A teenage girl has narrowly avoided losing her eye after a screw was fired into her face.

The 15-year-old and her friends were targeted by a passing ute at Cessnock, when a male passenger allegedly aimed a blow dart pipe at the group, in an appalling drive-by attack.
