Having done enough at the Hong Kong Open to retain his Asian Tour card, Charlestown’s Jake Higginbottom has switched his focus to the Australian PGA Championship, which begins on the Gold Coast on Thursday.
The 25-year-old will need to make the cut in order to secure his full-time Australian card for 2019.
Higginbottom will play round one alongside fellow Hunter professional Aaron Townsend, who also needs a big result to improve his ranking.
