Australians will go to the polls in mid-May, a calculation which firmed up today when Prime Minister Scott Morrison revealed the government will bring down its budget in early April.
The PM declared it will be a surplus budget, an economic blueprint he hopes can claw back support for the Coalition, which is tearing itself apart.
