Investigations are underway after a fire broke out at a residential property in Wauchope.
Emergency services were called to the scene just off High Street at around 5:30 yesterday afternoon to find a caretaker residence in a paddock well alight.
Fire crews were quick to extinguish the blaze but two people were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
At this stage, the cause of the fire is unknown and is being treated as suspicious.
Anyone who may have been in the area before the blaze took hold is urged to contact police.
