A serving police officer has been charged with possessing and distributing child abuse material in the state’s north west.
The 55-year-old male sergeant is attached to the Western Region command and has been ordered to appear in Narrabri Local Court on March 26.
He’s also been suspended with pay.
The offences allegedly occurred on December 17 last year.
