The Central Coast’s Mayor stands by the decision to scale back Winney Bay Clifftop Walk, even though the state government says doing so will cause it to pull cash from Stage Two of the project.
$4.6 million will be withdrawn if changes including narrower paths and the removal of an access bridge go ahead.
In a statement, Mayor Jane Smith said council has been advised to reapply for funding.
The matter will be discussed at Tuesday’s council meeting.
