STRATEGIC PLAN RELEASED INTO FUTURE OF CESSNOCK AIRPORT

Coalfields residents are encouraged to have their say on the future of Cessnock Airport following the release of a draft strategic plan.

The five-year plan sets out future improvements including a runway extension, improved utilities and upgraded facilities on the western side of the complex.

Council wants to position the airport as a hub for the tourism, entertainment and transport industries.
