Police are investigating a blaze which tore through a men’s toilet block at Newcastle Beach.
Firefighters were called to the beach at 7:45pm, after a witness heard a loud explosion while in the female changerooms.
Crews managed to extinguish the flames, with the structure only suffering minor damage.
