A Newcastle teenager is fighting for life in a Bali hospital after suffering serious head injuries in a scooter accident.
Lawson Rankin was on a schoolies trip with friends when one of their phones was stolen.
The 18-year-old attempted to chase the thief on his scooter, only to crash into a concrete drain.
He was found face down in the water, with his family now trying to bring him home.
