Police are asking the public to help them investigate an armed robbery in the Hunter last night.
Just before 9 o’clock, a man entered a fast food restaurant on Lawes Street, East Maitland, armed with a baseball bat.
He threatened an employee, before leaving the restaurant with cash; travelling east along Lawes Street.
The man was last seen with his face covered, wearing dark coloured clothing.
