The future of the Narrabri Gas Project has been referred to the Independent Planning Commission for determination.
It’s the last stage of approval required for energy giant Santos to construct natural gas reserves in the Narrabri area.
The Department of Planning will now provide an assessment report to the commission for its consideration, before public hearings are held within 12 weeks.
