This weekend’s Women’s Premier League matches between Broadmeadow Magic FC v Thornton Redbacks FC have been postponed, as one of the Magic players awaits COVID-19 results.
The unwell player has also been in close contact with other senior members of the WPL Program at a recent club event.
Northern NSW Football CEO David Eland says it’s a precautionary measure.
“NNSWF places at the highest priority, the health and well-being of players, supporters, officials and the wider football community.
“Updates will be provided when further information comes to hand,” said Eland.
Broadmeadow Magic’s NPL Youth fixtures against North Coast Football at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Sunday are not affected and will proceed as scheduled.
