SUPPORT STILL AVAILABLE FOR PRODUCERS STRUGGLING THROUGH DROUGHT

As the world grapples with COVID-19, north-west communities are reminded that 75 percent of the state remains severely impacted by drought.

The State Government is asking eligible producers to reach out for the assistance they need.

There has now been almost $1 billion spent on assisting rural and regional producers through the current financial year.

Support programs have been introduced to ensure a flexibility of assistance across all lines of production.

Meanwhile, close to $190 million has been spent on the drought transport subsidy.
