MORE BOOKINGS IN LAKE MACQUARIE THESE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Another positive sign for the tourism industry, with Lake Macquarie Cruises setting out for the first time since lockdown was enforced in March.

The vessel left Speers Point this morning, and will operate four days a week over the coming months.

“The Boom Net cruises are open to absolutely everyone. Of course the kids love jumping in the boom net, but people of all ages enjoy a cruise around the lake.” – Peter Hanrahan, Lake Macquarie Cruises.

The lake has seen a rise in accommodation bookings – and the school holidays are looking good too.

“COVID has caused some issues, but the cloud has certainly got a nice silver lining to it. We’re very very busy coming in to the school holidays and the October long weekend.” – Garry Ellem, Lake Macquarie Holiday Parks Co-ordinator.
