CHALK THE WALK BRIGHTENING UP THE CBD

If you walk around Newcastle’s CBD today, you may find yourself immersed in chalk art.

As part of the city’s New Annual festival, four artists have created an interactive exhibition called ‘Chalk the Walk’.

The 3D drawings have been designed for visitors to pose and get a photo.

Artists Jenny McCracken, Rudy Kistler, Zac Craig and Leo Uribe have drawn on the festival’s theme ‘illumination’ and gained inspiration from the city’s background.

The chalk artwork are located at the Visitors Information Centre, Market Street Lawn, Laman Street and corner of Crown and Hunter Street.
