TAMWORTH CHURCHES TO REOPEN ‘DRIVER REVIVER’ SERVICE OVER EASTER

A group of Tamworth churches will join forces this Easter, to staff the city’s ‘Driver Reviver’ service.

The Armidale Road facility was at risk of closing, after the Peel Valley Lion’s Club announced it would no longer man the kiosk.

Churches have combined under the state’s Scripture Union to reopen the service in time for the Easter break.

Director, Frank Colemane, says Driver Reviver is vital in ensuring all road users are kept safe.

“It’s a good opportunity to pull up, have a conversation, have a cup of tea, feel refreshed, walk around, use the amenities that are at the location and continue on their way.”

The ‘Driver Reviver’ facility will open from Good Friday, between 10am and 4pm.
