Police are appealing for information after a small explosion at Bateau Bay.
The incident occurred in an underpass between a shopping centre and a skate park last Sunday afternoon.
A number of people are believed to have been nearby at the time.
No one was hurt and no properties were damaged.
There are reports of a similar incident in the area on Wednesday.
