An elderly woman has been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition after crashing her Suzuki Swift into a pole on Oakland Avenue at The Entrance shortly before 1pm.
The woman in her 80s was trapped for a short time before being treated for chest and shoulder injuries.
