VACCINE ROLLOUT EXTENDED IN RURAL AND REGIONAL NSW

There are now 25 Pfizer vaccination sites across New South Wales, taking bookings for people aged between 40 and 49.

Six more will open progressively over the next month, including at Armidale, Taree, Moree and Muswellbrook.

Health Minister Brad Hazzard said the quicker the vaccine rollout is, the safer the state will be.

“We’re making it easier for people right across NSW to access COVID vaccines as quickly as possible,” Mr Hazzard said.

Around 23,500 people have been invited to book in for their jab at a NSW Health clinic.

12,000 are already booked in.

“I want to thank the more than 120,000 people aged 40 to 49 who have already registered their interest to receive the Pfizer jab. We are working hard to ensure you receive the vaccine as soon as possible,” Premier Gladys Berejiklian said.
