CONSTRUCTION WORKERS TEST POSITIVE AT PORT STEPHENS
A Port Stephens retirement village is assuring the community that no residents have been exposed, after three construction workers tested positive.
It’s understood the three workers arrived at the Sunrise over-55s village at Bobs Farm on Monday and later received text messages from NSW Health informing them they were close contacts of a positive case.
The worksite was shut down for deep cleaning and the workers in question got tested.
All three returned positive results.
Both the retirement village and construction company, MJH Multi, have confirmed to NBN News that the workers are believed to have contracted the virus at home.
They added there is no risk to residents.
