PUB OWNER OPENS UP ABOUT LOCKDOWN WOES ON THE TODAY SHOW

A Tamworth pub owner has opened up about the financial woes of lockdown on the Today show.

The Pub Group CEO, Craig Power told the nation it’s frustrating that – despite having no cases – Tamworth venues remain unable to open their doors.

He believes the treasurer’s announcement of $5-million loans for businesses won’t work.

“We need to open. You know, we’ve got enough debt and enough mortgage already there that we’re not able to pay off. So, realistically, we just need to get back open.”

Businesses remain hopeful Tamworth will emerge from lockdown on Saturday.
