There was a jump in covid cases for the Central Coast today – with 291 new infections.
It’s the highest daily tally the region has recorded to date – though only one person is in ICU.
There is still a delay at testing clinics across the coast, with patients waiting over an hour to be seen.
Meanwhile, more Mariners players have tested positive – prompting the team’s New Years Eve celebrations to be postponed.
