There’s a race named in his honour but Tony Ball says his stables success has been a team effort.

The Taree trainer is now looking ahead to next month’s Country Championships.

Born and bred in the Manning Valley, Rob Douglas joined the Taree bureau in June 2021 after a short career in print media. He joined the Tamworth team in July 2023. Rob graduated from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst in 2016 with a sports journalism degree.
