$750,000 reward offered to help solve Newcastle mum’s murder
Almost two decades have passed since Newcastle woman Roslyn Reay was found stabbed to death in her Cooks Hill home, on April 3, 2005.
NSW Police have offered a $750,000 reward in the hopes of finally finding her killer.
The 52-year-old was found dead with multiple stab wounds after concerns were raised for her welfare, to this day no one has been charged with her murder.
Her daughter, Mandii, said the reward had given her hope of finally finding some answers.
Detectives have been re-analysing evidence collected over the past 18 years, including items found at the crime scene, as part of a renewed investigation under the State Crime Command Homicide Squad’s Unsolved Homicide framework.
They hope today’s new reward of $750,000 for information which leads to an arrest and conviction for Roslyn’s death, will finally prompt someone to come forward.
