Bandido member charged over alleged Cessnock fight
A member of the Bandido outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) has been charged charged with affray, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
It comes after emergency services were called to Cessnock Road after an alleged brawl took place at a hotel around 5:30pm on Tuesday 25th April.
Following reports of an affray where the 33-year-old man allegedly entered the the hotel and abused other patrons before assaulting a 58-year-old man.
It will be further alleged that the younger man became involved in a brawl before picking up a bar stool and throwing it towards the older man.
The 58-year-old suffered facial injuries and was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
After a crime scene was established, investigators from State Crime Command’s Raptor North commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A 33-year-old man was arrested yesterday Thursday 27th April following inquires, he was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Kurri Kurri Local Court on Tuesday 23 May 2023.
