A 22-year-old Mannering Park man was tasered in Lake Munmorah last night after allegedly becoming violent towards police.
They were attempting to breath test him after he crashed his Landcruiser into a construction site near Carters Road.
An officer’s right earlobe was torn in the incident.
The man’s been charged with a string of offences, including driving under the influence, resisting arrest and assaulting police.
He was granted conditional bail and will face Wyong Court next month.
