MEETINGS TO GUIDE DUNGOG’S FUTURE

In the wake of the doctors crisis, Tillegra Dam being scrapped, and seeing the local timber mill shut, Dungog council says it’s time for the tiny town to get back on track.

A series of town meetings will start on Monday to help establish a plan to guide Dungog’s future over the next 20 years.

“It’s time for the shire to reinvent itself. We all know we’ve got infrastructure issues. But at the same time what have we got to do to bring people here..how do we keep people in the town.”
