GIRLS QUICK ACTION PRAISED

Police are hunting a man aged in his 60s, who tried to force three 11-year-old girls into a car at Cessnock yesterday afternoon.
The girls were playing in this laneway behind St Phillips Christian College, when the man asked them to look at a lizard near his white car.
When the year five students refused, he reportedly grew angry and demanded they get into his car.
The girls ran away and told teachers.
“The students, I’ve applauded them this morning, and thanked them for their quick action, we don’t even know what the real story is in terms of what that man was about, but we don’t want to take any chances here,” said Malcolm Bromhead, Saint Phillip’s Christian College Principal.
The man is described as being caucasian, with a slim build and wrinkles.
