COFFS NAMED AS POSSIBLE HOME FOR SYRIAN REFUGEES

Coffs Harbour could be one of the six regional New South Wales cities where Syrian refugees are settled.
News Limited is reporting Coffs as a potential home, while the Coordinator General for Refugee Resettlement in New South Wales Professor Peter Shergold says the talks have only been preliminary.
A Coffs Harbour Council spokesperson says no specific request has been presented to council at this stage.
It comes after Coffs Harbour MP Andrew Fraser called for Australia’s borders to be closed to refugees from the middle east in the wake of the Paris terrorist attacks.
