Charges have been laid against a 40-year-old woman, over the alleged sexual abuse of a young girl in the Hunter.
The woman will appear in Maitland Local Court in July, having been arrested at Waratah on Monday.
It’s alleged the woman, who was known to the girl, sexually assaulted her at a home in the Hunter region in June 2017.
A 53-year-old man, who was earlier in the year arrested as part of the investigation, remains before the courts.
