SURVEY HELPS PINPOINT AREAS WHERE THE HEALTH SECTOR NEEDS IMPROVING

Mental health support, alcohol and drug issues, and ageing – these are the main concerns North Coast residents have when it comes to their health, according to the results of a new survey.
More than 3-thousand residents were surveyed from Lismore, Tweed Heads, Coffs Harbour, and the Hastings as part of an initiative by the North Coast Primary Health Network.
They were asked to highlight their particular health challenges.
“Those are really mental health issues, alcohol and drug issues and ageing. So I think those themse are things that we’ll look at and work together planning how we address them well” – Julie Sturgess, North Coast Primary Health CEO.
The Primary Health Network uses this data to improve services for North Coast communities.
