BIG YEAR FOR STORMS IN THE HUNTER

The Hunter was the most storm-affected region in New South Wales in the last financial year, according to a new NRMA-SES survey.

It accounted for a quarter of the state’s storm claims, while four suburbs also made the top ten – Nelson Bay, Corlette, Salamander Bay and Soldiers Point.

The NRMA says almost half of all the home claims it received last year were a result of storm damage.
