MURDER INVESTIGATION LEADS TO ARRESTS

Detectives investigating the disappearance and alleged murder of a Glen Innes businessman two months ago will address the media following the arrest of five people this morning during raids at Casino and Grafton, in the State’s far north.

Three men, aged 25, 29 and 36 and two women, both aged 32, were arrested just after 6am when police executed warrants at three homes in Casino and a fourth home in South Grafton.

Five people have been taken to Casino and Grafton Police Stations where they are assisting with inquiries.

The arrests follow an investigation into the disappearance of Adrian Trevett, 62, who vanished in October last year after a cycling trip to Jackadgery, 45km west of Grafton.

New England LAC detectives established Strike Force Vallen to investigate Mr Trevett’s disappearance. Last Saturday officers recovered a body from a ravine in Sandy Hill, near Tenterfield.
