MACY GETS WILDCARD FOR 1ST WORLD TOUR EVENT

Avoca surfer Macy Callaghan has received the opportunity of a lifetime, after being selected as a wildcard entry in her first-ever World Tour event.

She’ll hit the waves at the Swatch Pro in California on September 6.

It’s hoped this event will help the 16-year-old improve her Q-S rank by two spots, in order to make it onto the tour circuit next year.

The current junior world champion will come up against world number one Tyler Wright and fellow Aussie, Keeley Andrew, in her first heat.
